Single-Handed Casting Tuition

Each casting session normally lasts for two hours. If you are new to the sport the two hour session is a great introduction to the basics of fly casting. This will include starting to explore the fundamentals of the roll and the over head casts, which are essential as building blocks of the more technical casts.

Beginners' sessions will also include an introduction to basic fly fishing skills such as river craft, fly selection, catch and release of quarry.

For the more experienced angler a two hour session will allow you to polish existing skills and develop new casting techniques as well as increasing rivercraft and technical knowledge. Casting sessions can be booked individually or as part of a course of lessons. Both can be tailored to the clients needs.

Single handed casts which can be covered dependent on skill level:

  •  Overhead cast
  •  Roll Cast
  •  Single Haul
  •  Double Haul
  •  Single Spey Double Spey
